This Week's Interesting DVD Releases (February 16, 2010)
Audrey Tautou's intense performance as Coco Chanel makes Coco Before Chanel my favorite DVD release of the week.
Other theatrical releases in stores this week include three from the Criterion Collection, Hunger, Lola Montes, and Revanche (all also available in Blu-ray). The box set Clint Eastwood: 35 Films 35 Years at Warner Bros. collects 35 of the legendary actor/director's films (for under $4 a movie).
My wife is happy to see her favorite animated series, Bob & Margaret, finally released on DVD (the first season, at least).
The Blur documentary, No Distance Left To Run, is available tomorrow as an import in the U.S.
Blu-ray releases this week include Jean-Luc Godard's Contempt, the 20th anniversary edition of Goodfellas, and Peter Sellers in The Ladykillers.
