This Week's Interesting Music Releases (April 13, 2010)
Though the new MGMT album Congratulations has been getting much more press, my favorite release this week is easily Kaki King's Junior.
I can also strongly recommend Carrie Rodriguez's Love And Circumstance, Dosh's Tommy, Little Women's Throat, The Nels Cline Singers' Initiate, and The Tallest Man on Earth's The Wild Hunt this week.
Vinyl reissues are bountiful this week. Two colored vinyl Sonic Youth albums head the list, Confusion Is Sex (white) and EVOL (pink), and are joined by Neutral Milk Hotel's On Avery Island.
A remastered edition of DEVO's 1979 album Duty Now for the Future is also in stores tomorrow, along with remasters of three Black Sabbath albums (Heaven and Hell
Live Evil, Mob Rules, all with bonus discs).
Four remastered Braid albums are out tomorrow on vinyl, The Age of Octeen, Frankie Welfare Boy Age 5 (also available on CD), Movie Music Vol. 1, and Movie Music Vol. 2.
