This Week's Interesting Music Releases (April 27, 2010)
Courtney Love returns this week with a new Hole album, Nobody's Daughter.
Nobody's Daughter may be garnering most of the press, but Avi Buffalo's self-titled album has held my ear the longest since its arrival, a debut brimming with clever songwriting.
Among the week's other new releases I can also strongly recommend Emily Jane White's Victorian America, Lali Puna's Our Inventions, Lucky Soul's Coming of Age, and Unnatural Helpers' Cracked Love (and Other Drugs).
Big Audio Dynamite's This Is Big Audio Dynamite has been remastered and is packaged with a bonus CD, and is the standout reissue of the week.
Kimberly Rew fans can pick up a reissue of his solo album Bible of Bop as well as Katrina & The Waves and Katrina & The Waves 2, all with bonus tracks.
Three Ane Brun digital reissues are also available tomorrow, Live In Scandinavia, Sketches, and Spending Time With Morgan.
