17 Down, 35 To Go "Viva Vegan!: 200 Authentic and Fabulous Recipes for Latin Food Lovers" (52 Books, 52 Weeks)

Over the past couple of years, Terry Hope Romero has authored some of my favorite cookbooks. Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World, Veganomicon, and Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar are among the most used recipe sources in our house, even though we are not a vegan family.

Viva Vegan!: 200 Authentic and Fabulous Recipes for Latin Food Lovers is the latest cookbook from the Post-Punk Kitchen chef.

Viva Vegan!: 200 Authentic and Fabulous Recipes for Latin Food Lovers is a cookbook after my own heart. The recipes are easy to follow, clearly illustrated with photographs, and in the end, always tasty and full of fresh ingredients. Romero's writing is crisp, informative, and always entertaining as she offers the history and intricacies of Latin cuisine.

The potato and kale enchilada dish in Veganomicon is one of my all-time favorite Latin dishes, so I knew I would love this book. Even so, I found myself returning to its pages every night for new recipes to try. If you are vegan, vegetarian, or just someone (like me) who loves fresh, tasty food, I cannot recommend this book enough.

My next book is The Small Stakes: Music Posters, by Jason Munn.
