41 Down, 11 To Go "Absolute Promethea Book Two" (52 Books, 52 Weeks)
Alan Moore is simply one of my favorite comics writers. His gifts for plot development and dialogue are legendary, and his partnership with artist JH Williams III in Absolute Promethea series produced one of the most beautiful and effective comics series of all time. The hefty, slipcased, almost 16" x 9" book gives Williams' artwork room to truly come alive and enhance the storyline even more than in the original comics, and the bonus developmental sketches give cues to the genesis of the project.
Absolute Promethea Book Two collects volumes 13-24 of the series, and continues the adventures of Sophie Bangs, a young modern woman enchanted with the powers of a mythical warrior.
My next book is Karen Lord's novel Redemption in Indigo.
