This week Bob Dylan releases The Witmark Demos: 1962-1964 (The Bootleg Series Vol. 9), a collection of demos he recorded early in his career. I am a huge fan of the official bootleg series, hearing these songs stripped down to their bare elements accentuates the songwriting and Dylan's lyrical genius shines through.
Also released this week is a 9-CD Dylan box set, The Original Mono Recordings, which collects his first eight studio albums as well as a live 1963 performance. A special edition of the DVD, Bob Dylan - 1941-1966 Tales From A Golden Age, will also be released Tuesday.
To enter the contest, leave a comment in this post with the name of your favorite Bob Dylan song. If you don't have one, feel free to say that as well (I'll be happy to substitute an Amazon gift certificate for people who are not Dylan fans).
The winner will receive Bob Dylan's album, The Witmark Demos: 1962-1964 (The Bootleg Series Vol. 9).
One winner will receive the following prize:
The Witmark Demos: 1962-1964 (The Bootleg Series Vol. 9) by Bob Dylan (your choice of CD, vinyl, or mp3 download)
The winner will be chosen randomly at midnight CT Friday evening (October 22nd).
