This Week's Interesting DVD Releases - November 2, 2010
The Larry Sanders Show: The Complete Series is in stores tomorrow, and this sitcom sits comfortably among Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld, and Arrested Development as one of my favorite comedy shows of all time.
Other television DVDs out this week include the HBO series The Pacific, The Facts of Life: The Complete Fifth Season, Mad About You: The Complete Fifth Season, and the complete series of Beverly Hills 90210 and Nip/Tuck.
The theatrical highlight this week is the animated Toy Story 3. Anniversary editions of The Goonies (25th) and The Sound of Music (45th) are also available.
The Rolling Stones: Let's Spend the Night Together, the band's Hal Ashby-directed 1981 concert film, finally sees its DVD release tomorrow. Imogen Heap: Everything In-Between: The Story of Ellipse profiles the singer-songwriter.
Blu-ray releases of note include the classic war drama The Bridge on the River Kwai as well as the musical The Wiz.
