This Week's Interesting DVD Releases - January 18th, 2011
The Criterion Collection releases two Samule Fuller films this week, The Naked Kiss and Shock Corridor. Both DVDs feature cover artwork from cartoonist Daniel Clowes.
Other theatrical releases include Lebanon, Israeli director Samuel Maoz's personal account of his experience as a soldier in Lebanon in 1982.
The documentary I am most looking forward to this week is Neshoba: The Price of Freedom, which tells the story of the three civil rights workers killed in Neshoba, Mississippi in 1964 and the fight to bring their killers to justice.
Television DVDs out this week include Dark Skies: The Declassified Complete Series, the BBC's Merlin: The Complete Second Season, Justified: The Complete First Season, Dallas: The Complete Fourteenth Season, as well as my favorite food show Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations Collection 5 Pt. 2.
