This Week's Interesting Music Releases - January 25th
The biggest music release in months brings several noteworthy releases. Iron & Wine's Kiss Each Other Clean, John Vanderslice's White Wilderness, Destroyer's Kaputt, and Deerhoof's Deerhoof Vs. Evil are all among my most anticipated indie releases of 2011, and are just the start of the week's new music highlights.
Other albums I can strongly recommend this week include Wanda Jackson's Jack White produced covers album, The Party Ain't Over, Ben + Vespers' Honors, Gang of Four's Content, and Lia Ices' Grown Unkown, Say Hi's Um, Uh Oh, with plenty of others I am looking forward to listening to.
A remastered edition of The Books' Thought For Food leads off the week's reissues, along with two remastered Crass albums (Feeding of the 5000 and Stations of the Crass, both with bonus tracks), and Popul Vuh's 5-CD box set of Werner Herzog Soundtracks (which includes the soundtracks to Aguirre, Heart of Glass, Nosferatu, Fitzcarraldo and Cobra Verde).
