This Week's Interesting DVD Releases - April 12, 2011
The latest film in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1, is in stores this week.
Other theatrical releases include Gwyneth Paltrow's country music vehicle Country Strong and the Cold War thriller Farewell.
Tracy & Hepburn the Definitive Collection collects seven films starring the film legends.
The week's television releases lean toward the nostalgic, and include the slapstick (Car 54 Where Are You: Complete First Season), the dramatic (Dragnet 1970: Season Four) and the delightfully absurd (H.R. Pufnstuf: Complete Series).
Three documentaries look especially promising. Let's Talk About Sex examines how Americans communicate about sex with their children, Marwencol profiles an artist who creates war documentaries with Barbies and action figures, and Behind the Burly Q explores the history of burlesque.
The highlight of the week's Blu-ray releases is Jean-Pierre Melville's Le Cercle Rouge from the Criterion Collection.
