This Week's Interesting DVD Releases - May 24th, 2011
Two Criterion Collection editions are released this week, Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator and Andrei Tarkovsky's Solaris.
Other feature film DVDs out this week include the black comedy The Scenesters and a film adaptation of Anton Chekhov's The Duel.
Papillon and Platoon are both available in Blu-ray special editions.
Three documentaries especially caught my eye. Martin Scorsese's Public Speaking chronicles the life of Fran Lebowitz, A Small Act, and God Went Surfing With the Devil is about surfing in Gaza.
The BBC's The Royal Wedding: William & Catherine, William & Kate: Planning a Royal Wedding, and Transformers: The Complete Series are also in stores tomorrow.
