This Week's Interesting Music Releases - June 7th, 2011
Neil Young's A Treasure collects live performances from his 1984 and 1985 U.S. tours, and includes five previously unreleased songs.
The week's music release list is filled with worthwhile albums. From what I have already heard, I can also strongly recommend Battles' The Gloss Drop, Black Lips' Arabia Mountain, Coathangers' Larceny & Old Lace, Cults' self-titled album, Ladybug Transistor's Clutching Stems, The Postelles' The Postelles, The Rosebuds' Loud Planes Fly Low, Sondre Lerche's self-titled album, Tom Vek's Leisure Seizure, and The Wooden Birds' Two Matchsticks.
Vinyl remastered editions of two Grateful Dead albums are the reissue highlights this week, Blues for Allah and Shakedown Street.
Who Took the Bomp? is a concert DVD that follows Le Tigre on tour.
