July 4, 2011
Largehearted Lit is a reading series inspired by this blog's Book Notes feature. Inspired and previously hosted by the talented author Jami Attenberg, the series presents readings by authors featured in the Book Notes series along with musical guests.
July's Largehearted Lit features two authors who are not only respected as literary writers, but also have respected litblogs. Caroline Leavitt (who blogs at CarolineLeavittville) and Susan Henderson (who blogs at LitPark) will read from their most recent novels, Pictures of You and Up from the Blue respectively, and discuss how music relates to their works. They will be joined by Carey Wallace, an author and musician whose new EP, Songs About Books, celebrates the paperback release of her debut novel The Blind Contessa's New Machine, and who will read from the novel as well as play a couple of songs.
The event starts at 7:00 on Wednesday, July 6th, at WORD Brooklyn. There will be Peter Pan donuts and wine.
