This Week's Interesting Music Releases - September 20th, 2011

Two of my favorite singer-songwriters have new music available this week, Richmond Fontaine's The High Country (with songs written by the band's frontman, author Willy Vlautin) and Jens Lekman's An Argument With Myself EP.

Evangelista's In Animal Tongue, The Jayhawks's Mockingbird Time (the first album to feature the band's original lineup since 1995), Megafaun's self-titled album, Nurses' Dracula, and Weekend's Red EP are all new releases I can strongly recommend.

Night of Hunters, the new album by Tori Amos, is also in stores tomorrow.

Two archival releases stand out this week, the Grateful Dead's Europe 72 Vol. 2 and Miles Davis's Live in Europe 1967: The Bootleg Series Vol. 1.

What new releases are you picking up this week? What can you recommend? Have I left anything noteworthy off the list?
