This Week's Interesting Music Releases - October 25th, 2011
Tom Waits' first album in seven years, Bad as Me, is in stores this week, as is the first listenable holiday record of the year, A Very She & Him Christmas (courtesy of M. Ward and Zoey Deschanel).
From the rest of the new releases, I can strongly recommend Comet Gain's Howl of the Lonely Crowd, Deer Tick's Divine Providence, Peggy Sue's Acrobats, Phantogram's Nightlife EP, Russian Circles' Empros, and Surfer Blood's Tarot Classics
Two box sets of note are Of Montreal's 10 piece Cassette Box Set (which comes with free mp3s of all 10 albums) and the 8-LP vinyl edition of The Smiths Complete.
Other vinyl reissues include The Magnetic Fields' Holiday and Wye Oak's The Knot.
Remastered editions of four Paul Simon solo album sare on store shelves this week, Paul Simon: Graceland, , Hearts & Bones, One Trick Pony, Rhythm of the Saints, all with bonus tracks.
