This Week's Interesting Music Releases - November 1st, 2011
The Beach Boys' The SMiLE Sessions is available in 2-CD, 2-LP vinyl, and a 9-disc (5-CD, 2-LP, 2-7") box set editions.
Even more options are available for the remastered edition of U2's Achtung Baby album, including single CD, "Deluxe" 2-CD, 4-LP vinyl box set, 10-disc (6-CD, 4-DVD) "Super Deluxe" box set, and the "Uber Deluxe" 15-disc (6-CD, 4-DVD,5 -7" vinyl)box set.
The only new releases I can wholly recommend are Decemberists' Long Live the King EP and the vinyl edition of Ryan Adams' new album, Ashes & Fire.
Get your holiday mix jumpstarted with Carole King's first holiday album, A Holiday Carole, and a reissue of The Muppets' A Green & Red Christmas that includes a couple of bonus tracks.
