Contest - Win the Book "mental_floss: The Book: The Greatest Lists in the History of Listory" and a $100 Threadless Gift Certificate
I don't celebrate the winter holidays as much as I do list season. Year-end lists point out what I missed during the year, especially books and music.
Being a bit obsessed with music and book lists, I am once again aggregating these lists. The online list of "best books of 2011" lists started a couple of weeks ago, and is being updated daily. The 2011 edition of the list of year-end online music lists will premiere in the next couple of days. My personal lists of favorite novels, nonfiction, story collections, graphic novels and albums will be posted in December.
To enter this week's contest, leave a comment with the year-end list you most look forward to. If you don't like lists (or don't have a favorite), feel free to state that.
For books, I anticipate the New York Times' list of notable books. For music, the singles lists (with accompanying downloads) from Fluxblog and Said the Gramophone are my year-end highlights.
