To anyone that reads Largehearted Boy with any regularity, my admiration for the music of the Mountain Goats and the songwriting of John Darnielle is no surprise. For a while, one website actually tracked daily whether or not the band was mentioned on these pages...
Since first hearing Darnielle's music in the late 90s I have been a diehard fan and evangelist for the music of the man I consider America's finest working songwriter and ever-entertaining live performer. These performances and streamable songs offer a glimpse into his talent.
