This Week's Interesting Music Releases - November 15th, 2011
R.E.M.'s 40-song career retrospective Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage: 1982 - 2011 is in stores this week.
With the holidays approaching, box sets are becoming more plentiful. This week's highlight is the Who's Quadrophenia- The Director's Cut (Super Deluxe Edition) (6-disc box set) (remastered) which contains four CDs, one DVD, and one 7" vinyl single (and is also available in a 2-CD version).
Of the enw releases, I can strongly recommend Caveman's Coco Beware, Crystal Stilts' Radiant Door, Goldmund's All Will Prosper, and Los Campesinos!' Hello Sadness.
Sigur Ros's Inni captures two 2008 London performances by the band on two CDs and a DVD.
New winter holiday albums include The Warm December Volume 2: A Brushfire Holiday, which includes contributions by Zee Avi, Rogue Wave, and others, and Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album Volume 2.
Olivia Tremor Control's Black Foliage: Animation Music, Vol. 1 has been remastered and expanded.
