This Week's Interesting Music Releases - March 6th, 2012

Bruce Springsteen's 17th studio album, Wrecking Ball, is in stores tomorrow.

The Springsteen record may be grabbing the headlines, but The Magnetic Fields' Love at the Bottom of the Sea is the strongest album by the band since 69 Love Songs, and is one of my two favorite albums of the week along with Bowerbirds' The Clearing.

Andrew Bird's Break It Yourself, Ceremony's Zoo, The Men's Open Your Heart, White Rabbits' Milk Famous, Xiu Xiu's Always are all new releases I have heard and can strongly recommend.

Both Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works II and Captain Beefheart's Merseytrout are reissued on vinyl.
