Shorties (Glen Duncan on The Last Werewolf Sequel, Music to Make Wine By, and more)

Glen Duncan talks to the New Zealand Listener about the sequel to his novel The Last Werewolf.

By tasking himself with writing from the female point of view for the second novel – "I can't take the credit, it was my girlfriend’s idea," he says – he kept it interesting for both him and the reader. "With male protagonists, they're essentially just me if I had loads of money," he laughs. "Whereas the minute you step into the shoes of the opposite gender, every single thing you write has to be doubly checked and questioned: 'Is that real?
Would a woman really think this?'"
