Contest - Win Four of My Favorite 2012 Books and a $100 Threadless Gift Certificate

May We Be Forgiven Battleborn

Wild Jerusalem

Fall means the year is almost over, and I am starting to create rough drafts of my favorite books of 2012 lists. Every year I post year-end lists of my favorite novels, short story collections, nonfiction books, and graphic novels, and these four books are my favorites in each category so far.

To enter this week's contest, name the best book you have read this year (it doesn't have to have been published in 2012) for a chance to win these books and a $100 Threadless gift certificate.

One winner, chosen randomly from the commenters, will receive the following prizes:

A.M. Homes' novel May We Be Forgiven
Claire Vaye Watkins' short story collection Battleborn
Guy Delisle's graphic novel Jerusalem: Chronicles from the Holy City
Cheryl Strayed's memoir Wild

A $100 Threadless gift certificate to buy book-related t-shirts like A Voyage of Discovery, A Book Lover, November Was a Good Month, Brainy Rainbow, or Word!, music-related t-shirts like The Official Guide to Music, Boom Box, Sound of the Dark, or anything else that catches your fancy.

If you have already have the books or they don't interest you, I am happy to substitute a second $100 Threadless gift certificate for the books.

The winner will be chosen randomly at midnight ET Friday evening (October 19th)
