In the weekly Atomic Books Comics Preview, Benn Ray highlights notable new comics and graphic novels.
Benn Ray is the owner of Atomic Books, an independent bookstore in Baltimore. The Mobtown Shank is his blog, and his comic Said What? is syndicated weekly in the Baltimore Sun's B-Paper.
Atomic Books has been named one of Bizarre Magazine's 51 geekiest places on the planet, as well as one of Flavorwire's 10 greatest comic and graphic novel stores in America.
The Daniel Clowes Reader

Any list of Best Living American Cartoonists that doesn't include Dan Clowes in the top 3 isn't a list worth reading. This beautiful collection gives the critical treatment to 10 of Clowes' most important comics stories which it includes in their entirety, from Ghost World to "Art School Confidential" to "Blue Italian Shit."

After failing to save the world, Dusty has managed to eek out a life for himself as a coward. But when an abused woman shows up, Dusty is the only one willing to help. The formula that results in the charm of this one-shot comic is that it is one part Pokemon for grown-ups, one part part Pacific Rim and one part awesome illustration style.
Last Of The Mohicans
by Shigeru Sugiura / Ryan Holmberg
It's a manga take on the classic James Fenimore Cooper story. This is the first time Sugiura's work has appeared in English, and his collage style (juxtaposing realistic illustrations with manga-styled illustrations) is a delight. Picturebox is giving us an excellent opportunity to check out a Post-War manga classic in an exquisitely designed book.
