Atomic Books Comics Preview - October 2, 2013

In the weekly Atomic Books Comics Preview, Benn Ray highlights notable new comics and graphic novels.

Benn Ray is the owner of Atomic Books, an independent bookstore in Baltimore. The Mobtown Shank is his blog, and his comic Said What? is syndicated weekly in the Baltimore Sun's B-Paper.

Atomic Books has been named one of Bizarre Magazine's 51 geekiest places on the planet, as well as one of Flavorwire's 10 greatest comic and graphic novel stores in America.

8-Track Mind #102

8-Track Mind #102
by Russ Forster

The new issue of Forster's long-running music zine - which started as an 8-track fanzine. This issue is loaded with great articles about the revival of analog. AND the zine is shaped like an 8-track!

As You Were #2

As You Were #2
by Mitch Clem

The new issue of Clem's hit punk anthology comic. Features work by Ben Snakepit, Liz Prince, Ramsey Beyer, Will Laren, and more.

Cinema Sewer Volume 4: The Adults Only Guide to History's Sickest and Sexiest Movies!

Cinema Sewer Volume 4: The Adults Only Guide to History's Sickest and Sexiest Movies!
by Robin Bougie

Safely through customs, and on the mean streets of America - volume 4 of Cinema Sewer collects issues 21-23 of Bougie's hit sleaze-cinema zine. Not for the squeamish, but totally addictive.

How To Talk To Your Cat About Gun Safety

How To Talk To Your Cat About Gun Safety
by The American Association Of Patriots

Look, we just want you to be safe, okay? The time is right. This zine answers common questions like, "So my cat finds a gun, what's the big deal?"

Pachyderme

Pachyderme
by Frederik Peeters

SelfMadeHero has been consistently putting out amazing graphic novels for a while now, but this one might just be the best to date. Stunning artwork, and an eerie story with a wounded elephant, a blind pig-keeper, an unnerving hospital and an awakened corpse. You can't thumb through it and not want to immediately plop down in a chair and read it cover to cover.
