At the Los Angeles Review of Books, Cecil Castellucci remembers author Ned Vizzini.
Ned contributed to Largehearted Boy several times, with a playlist for his novel It's Kind of a Funny Story, and interviews with Rasmus Holden (founder of the Nirvana Fan Club) and Lexy Benaim (of the Harlem Shakes). He was a gracious and kind man, as passionate about writing as he was talented, and a good friend.
39 online year-end "best books of 2013" lists were added to the master aggregation at Largehearted Boy yesterday, including The Conscious Cat's best cat books, Full Stop's best books, The New York Times book critics' favorite books, SPIN's best music books, the Tin House staff's favorite novels.
Lists added today to my list of online year-end music lists include Spin's best new holiday songs, BrooklynVegan's favorite albums, NPR Music's top folk and Americana albums, and much more.
