In the weekly Atomic Books Comics Preview, Benn Ray highlights notable new comics and graphic novels.
Benn Ray is the owner of Atomic Books, an independent bookstore in Baltimore. The Mobtown Shank is his blog, and his comic Said What? is syndicated weekly in the Baltimore Sun's B-Paper.
Atomic Books has been named one of BuzzFeed's Great American Bookstores, as well as one of Flavorwire's 10 greatest comic and graphic novel stores in America.
A Is For Zebra: An Alphabet, Art And Activity Book

Kids are never too young to be introduced to the joys of clip art! This alphabetical activity book (each page is a letter of the alphabet, surrounded by images that all begin with the corresponding letter) by Sean "Crap Hound" Tejaratchi is both gorgeous and fun - even for adults. I admit it, I had to check the key in the back for a couple items.

We all know the type - the "I got mine, Jack" type of knuckleheads who rationalize selfish individualism while romanticizing the works of an author they most likely never fully read in the first place. Cunningham connects the dots of our most recent economic meltdown all the way back to Ayn Rand - the libertarian idolized by people like Rand Paul (notice his first name?) and Paul Ryan. Informational, fun, and important.
