A Is For Zebra: An Alphabet, Art And Activity Book
by Sean Tejaratchi
Kids are never too young to be introduced to the joys of clip art! This alphabetical activity book (each page is a letter of the alphabet, surrounded by images that all begin with the corresponding letter) by Sean "Crap Hound" Tejaratchi is both gorgeous and fun - even for adults. I admit it, I had to check the key in the back for a couple items.
The Age of Selfishness: Ayn Rand, Morality, and the Financial Crisis
by Darryl Cunningham
We all know the type - the "I got mine, Jack" type of knuckleheads who rationalize selfish individualism while romanticizing the works of an author they most likely never fully read in the first place. Cunningham connects the dots of our most recent economic meltdown all the way back to Ayn Rand - the libertarian idolized by people like Rand Paul (notice his first name?) and Paul Ryan. Informational, fun, and important.
Lumberjanes Volume 1
by Noelle Stevenson / Grace Ellis / Brooke A. Allen
An instant all-ages classic, this volume collects the first few issues of the hit series that reads like Buffy The Vampire meets the Girl Scouts.
Nemo: River Of Ghosts (League of Extraordinary Gentlemen)
by Alan Moore / Kevin O'Neill
Moore continues his Nemo arc of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen series with this new hardcover.
Record Store Book: Fifty Legendary and Iconic Places to Discover New and Used Vinyl
by Gary Calamar / Phil Gallo
Just in time for this year's Record Store Day (April 18) comes this photographic love letter to record shops. The only thing better than spending an hour in a record shop, is looking at these pictures of record shops.
So You've Been Publicly Shamed
by Jon Ronson
In an era where the wrong Tweet or a hasty Facebook comment can result in friendlessness and unemployment, Ronson looks at the use of technology to publicly shame others with is typically entertaining, neurotic and amusing style.
Tragedy Series: Secret Lobster Claws and Other Misfortunes
by Benjamin Dewey
This collection from the popular comics Tumblr presents a series of over 500 illustrated tragedies - some absurd, some hilarious, some profound - and sometimes, some that are all three.
