In the wake of the death of Freddie Gray while in police custody, Baltimore went through quite a lot as a city (and is still going through it). And while the media had a particular narrative it followed, those of us who actually live here knew what the story really was. This book collects Tweets from Baltimore City teens during that time period, and it gives a much more accurate look at a city in pain than you'd get from cable news networks.

BmoreArt #1: Place

BmoreArt #1: Place
by Cara Ober (editor) / Tony Venne (designer)

This full-color, prefect-bound arts journal boasts a who's who of Baltimore city arts writers writing about studios, galleries, artists and art spaces, and even deconstructing Baltimore rowhomes with lush photographs illustrating the writing.

New Construction

New Construction
by Sam Alden

The Adventure Time contributor Sam Alden delivers two comic short stories as a sort of companion piece to his acclaimed It Never Happened Again. Rich pencil art and well-drafted stories about a brother and sister coming to terms with their memories of their father and a house full of vegan and anarchist roommates.

Rick And Morty Volume 1

Rick And Morty Volume 1
by Zac Gorman / CJ Cannon / Marc Ellerby

Okay, so if you've not see this show, imagine Doctor Who as recreated by Dan Harmon, the creator of Community, voiced by Lemongrab (Justin Roiland) of Adventure Time, for Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. And then, imagine that being 10 times better then you have any right to expect it to be. This book collects the first five issues of the hit comic book series adaptation of the TV show.
