Benn Ray is the owner of Atomic Books, an independent bookstore in Baltimore. The Mobtown Shank is his blog, and his comic Said What? is syndicated weekly in the Baltimore Sun's B-Paper.

Cats You Never Learned About in History Class
by Micki Grover / Lynne Donahue
From Agent Butterscotch, a CIA operative, to Ansel, the hippie cult leader, to Elof The Berserker, the drugged out Viking, this zine collects a number of "famous" cats throughout history.
Crucial Interventions: An Illustrated Treatise on the Principles And Practice of Nineteenth-Century Surgery
by Richard Barnett
This follow up to the Sick Rose contains even more amazing medical illustrations from the mid-19th century, this time focusing on the evolution of surgery.
Dark Knight III: Master Race #1
by Frank Miller / Brian Azzarello / Andy Kubert / Klaus Janson
The sequel absolutely no one was clamoring for is here. Frank Miller revisits his Dark Knight mythos, with a lot of help. And while I admit I was expecting the results to be on the Holy Terror/All-Star Batman and Robin, The Boy Wonder-level terrible, this first issue shows promise. So, why not?
Expedition LP
by Chuck Palahniuk
Palahniuk has released the prequel to Fight Club as an audiobook, and has released the audiobook in this limited-edition, vinyl LP.
Sad Bastard: Practical Wisdom For The Modern Asshole
by Lee Keeler / Phil Keeling
This magazine is for the shitty, modern day male - the roommate of the Esquire-reading metrosexual. Articles including advice on when it's cool to nap and masturbate at work, fitness routines, and more reveal the life of the bachelor to be a bleak one.
