Atomic Books Comics Preview - February 26, 2016

In the weekly Atomic Books Comics Preview, Benn Ray highlights notable new comics, graphic novels, and books.

Benn Ray is the owner of Atomic Books, an independent bookstore in Baltimore. He also runs the Mutant Funnies Tumblr.

Atomic Books has been named one of BuzzFeed's Great American Bookstores, as well as one of Flavorwire's 10 greatest comic and graphic novel stores in America.

by Ted Rall

I would say "Feel The Bern" if I didn't think it sounded creepy. Can we all acknowledge that it sounds creepy and just stop saying it now? Regardless, Rall presents current Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders in graphic novel form.

Founding Fathers Funnies

by Peter Bagge

Bagge's hilarious take on the the Founding Fathers is both amusing and informative. But mostly, it's just a lot of ridiculous fun.

Sugar Spread #1: Coloring Book for Adults

Sugar Spread #1: Coloring Book for Adults
by Robin Bougie

Robin Bougie, of Cinema Sewer fame, delivers this Adult Coloring Book in which he really puts the ADULT in "Adult Coloring Book." You'll feel weird coloring in some of this stuff - but weird in an interesting way.

Zap Comix #16

Zap Comix #16
by Robert Crumb / various

Years in the making - well, years in the waiting - the final issue of the seminal underground comix anthology is finally here. All of the Zap artists have pieces in this issue, including a few group jams. This isn't just a comic, this is history being made here.

Questions, concerns, comments or gripes – e-mail If there’s a comic I should know about, send it my way at Atomic, c/o Atomic Books 3620 Falls Rd., Baltimore, MD 21211.
