Moebius Library: Inside Moebius Part 1

Moebius Library: Inside Moebius Part 1
by Moebius

The next installment in Dark Horse's much anticipated Moebius Library is the first part of Moebius final work - an autobiographical self-exploration where the artist encounters some of his favorite creations, discusses real-world issues and elaborates on his creative process.
by Michael Sweater

I've been saying "the internet is for ruining" so often, I'm thinking about getting stickers made. This book is simpatico with that statement - a collection of funny and adorable gag cartoons for those of us who are sick of the internet, social media, etc. Y'know, most reasonable people.

Swamp Thing Winter Special #1

Swamp Thing Winter Special #1
by Tom King / Len Wein / Jason Fabok / Kelley Jones

Several issues back, writer Tom King had an especially noteworthy chapter to his excellent run on Batman, called "The Brave And The Mold" where the the Dark Knight teamed up with the Swamp Thing to find out who killed Swamp Thing's father. But more than just a really good issue of Batman, for those of us who have long been fans of the Len Wein/Bernie Wrightson creation and have felt that the character hasn't been particularly handled well since, well, since Alan Moore's run decades ago, there was hope that there might still be great stories in the character's future. This Winter Special is exactly what we were hoping for, and it promises more to come. It also includes Wein and artist Kelley Jones' final, unfinished Swamp Thing story as an added bonus.

Weird Love: So This Is Love

Weird Love: So This Is Love

Just in time for Valentines Day comes a new collection of twenty vintage bizarro romance comics.

Young Monsters In Love #1

Young Monsters In Love #1
by Paul Dini / Guillem March / various

As much as I am a fan of these seasonal, 80-page giant anthologies, over there years there hasn't really been a lot to enjoy. DC has been doing a good job bringing the format back, and this Valentine's Day special takes a number of superheroes and casts them in a romance story (an interesting mix of genres) and the results here are a handful of really good, fairly bittersweet and occasionally tragic tales that transcend the gimmick of the genre mash-up.
