Copyright Fights and Humor
Tom 7 is fighting the big type companies. He invented a tool, Embed, that changes the embedding properties of his fonts so they could successfully be embedded in documents, an essential tool in the portable document society we've grown into (think PDF). He is successfully arguing (so far) that he is infringing on no one's copyright, but is in for a fight (but maybe this time the little guy will win). I'm rooting for Tom, and not because he has several offbeat GBV covers on my radio station.
