Overcome By Happiness
The Boston Globe has a big piece the Pernice Brothers and former Scud Mountain Boy Joe Pernice today:
But effervescent bummers sung in silken whispers by a 35-year-old man is hardly a recipe for mainstream success, especially in today's market. And that suits Pernice -- a private person who declines to name his hometown -- very nicely. He would rather contemplate the inevitable horrible conclusion to a snippet of overheard conversation than discuss the meaning of his album's title. Listening, it would seem, is more critical than being heard.
