Smartbomb : The Quest for Art, Entertainment, and Big Bucks in the Videogame Revolution was a fascinating look behind the scenes of the video game industry. The book held my interest from the first page to the last, and I am not a huge fan of video games (I own only four PS2 games and a couple of computer games). Heather Chaplin and Aaron Ruby interview developers and attend trade conventions and gaming competitions, and the resulting book is an in-depth view of the industry as a whole while also profiling the key individuals responsible for today's video games.
My next book is C. Tyler's book of graphic stories, Late Bloomer.
