If you are still rounding up a holiday playlist, I'd suggest Drive-By Trucker Patterson Hood's live rendition of "Mrs. Claus' Kimono" (mp3 link) as a worthy entry.
Rilo Kiley's Jenny Lewis has made available a free and legal download, "Melt Your Heart," from her solo album, Rabbit Fur Coat (out January 24th). This was one of my most anticipated albums of the year, but like Rilo Kiley guitarist Blake Sennett's albums with The Elected, I found it good in spots, but mostly ordinary.
