This Week's Interesting DVD Releases - August 16, 2011
Two new Criterion Collection releases are in stores this week, Stanley Kubrick's The Killing and Roman Polanski's Cul-de-sac.
The week's most intriguing film is Idiots & Angels, an animated film drawn and directed by Bill Plympton. Another theatrical release worth checking out is Cary Fukunaga's adaptation of Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre.
Among the week's Blu-ray releases are Muppets From Space (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo), Muppets Take Manhattan (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo), and The Big Lebowski (Limited Edition) (which features a digital copy as well as a book).
Television highlights are Dexter: The Fifth Season and Spin City: Season Five.
Mark Kozelek on Tour features live performances and intimate glimpses into the road life of the Red House painters and Sun Kil Moon frontman.
